Standardised Staples

The CISO game

Standardised Staples is a fictional company in a free cyber security game.

In the game, you are the company's new Chief Information Security Officer. Every quarter brings a business decision, advisors who disagree, and an attack you may or may not stop. The budget is limited, the Board is distracted, and every decision has consequences. Twelve quarters. How long will you last?

This game is designed for everyone from Board members to Students, leveraging my experience as an enterprise CISO to let you feel what the role is really like and live the decisions that need to be made every day.

Built around a hand-written storyboard, the game uses machine learning generative AI driven advisors to guide and support you in the role.

About the company in the game:

Holding things together since 1952. Standardised Staples makes four million staples a day across three divisions: Manufacturing, Retail and Services. Its Compliance department reports that it is 210% compliant, and its Chief Executive is proud to say it has never had a cyber security incident.
